The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today sent his sincere condolences to the families of those affected in the attacks yesterday in Paris, and strongly condemned the acts of terror.
“On behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia, I would like to say how shocked and saddened we were to hear of the attacks in Paris yesterday. Somalia knows too well the suffering that accompanies these barbaric acts. We grieve with those families affected. We stand in solidarity with the Government of France in condemning those responsible in the strongest possible terms.
“The world must stand united against those who wreak savagery in the name of enlightenment. Their acts are a travesty against Islam and humanity.
“Somalia stands ready to support the Government of France in this hour of darkness,” the President said.
