Kenya Defence Forces soldiers backed by their counterparts from the Somali National Army have successfully rescued a Kenyan teacher who had been kidnapped by Al Shabaab militants in Garissa County.
Miss Judy Mutua was rescued inside Somalia and later airlifted to Nairobi where she was received by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery and other senior government officials. KDF says one of the abductors was killed and another arrested in the sting operation to rescue the Kenyan teacher.
