The Federal Indirect Electoral Implementation Team (FIEIT) recommended leaders of regional states of Somalia to keep on women’s Quota.
Chairman of federal indirect committee Omar Dhagey mentioned that it’s compulsory to make sure and clear their rights of the upcoming upper house and lower house members of Women’s and added that if it missed their quota will follow Articles agreed together national Forum Leaders.
“To confirm seats on women’s quota it’s decide reached leaders of national forum committee which assigned in 4-14 September” said Omar
The election process for selecting Members of the Lower House of Federal Parliament began this week across cities in Somalia, with MPs from Puntland, Southwest and Jubaland states being elected to four-year terms.
