Baku. Malahat Najafova –APA. The Turkish Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Azerbaijani citizen Kamala Ismayilova Savalan, 34, was killed during the March 30 attack on a microbus in the capital of Somalia – Mogadishu, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, told APA.
Ismayilova’s sons – 11-year-old Nihad and 10-year-old Nijat – were taken to a hospital in Mogadishu with serious injuries.
Kamala Ismayilova’s husband Ismayilov Aflatun Veysel fainted after learning about the incident, the victim’s relative, Goychay resident Shahin Yagubov told APA.
According to him, Aflatun Ismayilov, who lived in Turkey with his family for a long time, then went to Somali to work. “Aflatun Ismayilov is working in the Turkish Airlines’ office and a Turkish tourism company in Mogadishu,” Yagubov said.
Yagubov said Kamala Ismayilova was a teacher at a private Turkish lyceum in Mogadishu.
