Italian President H.E Sergio Materalla has received credentials letters from Somalia’s new ambassador to Italia, Ambassador Abdurrahman Sheikh Isse, at the state house in Rome.
Ambassador Ahmed handed over his credentials in a brief event at the Italian presidential palace.
Somali ambassador discussed Italian president on the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries and the role that the former colonial power can play in the peace building process and the reconstruction in Somalia.
Italian president Sergio Materalla said that there were age-old relationship and cooperation between Somalia and Italy and his government was committed to continuing its assistance to the people of Somalia and as well as helping the federal government establish law and order in the war-devastated country.
