Somali Government on Sunday took an action to improve the security in the capital Mogadishu following the latest killing of two people in Hamar-weyne district in Benadir region, arresting soldiers and sacking security and police officers.
Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abukar Islow Dualle said they have arrested 12 soldiers who were in an operation while the two persons were being killed nearby and sacked the Police and Security Commanders of Hamar-weyne district.
He said that the security forces captured a suspect with vehicle believed to have been used in carrying the murder.
Security forces also captured large amount of ammunition,weapons and drugs in an another operation in Dharkenlay district in Benadir region according to the Police.
This move comes as the Secretary of National Women Organization and its Chair Woman’s son were killed in Hamar-weyne district in drive by shooting three days ago.
