The Minister for foreign affairs of the federal government of Somalia His Excellence Yusuf Garad Omar and a delegation he is spearheading have on Saturday reached New York city in the USA, the delegation of the FM are paving the way for a delegation spearheaded by the Somali PM His Excellence Hassan Ali Kheeyre, the PM’s delegation will be jetting off from Mogadishu on Monday.
“I am paving the way for a delegation spearheaded by Premier Hassan Ali Kheyre who will be representing Somalia in the UN General Assembly, which the world of states meet once in a year” said FM Garad.
PM Kheeyre will be for the first time attending in the UN General Assembly, and is representing the Assembly on behalf of President Farmajo.
FM Garad also admitted that Somalia will be having sideline meetings with the head of states of some countries besides the UN General Assembly.
