President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo on Tuesday evening congratulated Muse Bihi Abdi on his election as the president of Somaliland Administration
The President commended the people, parties, security agencies in Somaliland for peaceful election happened there, telling the election brought prestige,and honor to the Somali People in general according to the statement from the office of the Presidency.
President Farmajo said, ” I am thanking all political parties and candidates who were vying for the presidential post of Somaliland in their democratic competition, I was going with registration, election campaign and vote casting which indicated civilization and patience in politics”.
The President assured for the new leader of Somaliland, Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi for assuming the talks between Somaliland and the Federal Government of Somalia.
” I am assuring for the elected President, Muse Bihi that I will be working with you on promoting the talks between Somaliland and the Federal Government of Somalia to restore the confidence of the people”, President Farmajo said.
Such congratulation comes after Somaliland electoral commission on Tuesday announced Muse Bihi as the winner of November 13 election.
