Somaliland’s Electoral Commission has today on Tuesday announced that Muse Bihi Abdi won in the presidential election held on November 13, 2017,
Abdukadir Iman Warsame, Chairperson of the electoral Commission said that Muse Bihi gained 55.19%, Waddani Party’s candidate, Abdirahan Mohamed Abdulahi got 40.73% while UCID Party’s candidate Faysal Ali Warabe got 4.17% from the total votes.
“Mr.Muse Bihi Abdi, the new president and his deputy Abdirahman Abdulahi Ismail from Kulmiye party are winners in the election on November 13, 2017”, He said.
But Waddani Party’s candidate Abdirahman Mohamed Abdulahi said earlier that he would not accept the result of the election, saying there has been irregularities, including corruption and arrests at polling stations.
However,the new President will run Somaliland Administration for the next five years.
