AU Peacekeeping Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) convoy hit a landmine saturday morning in the lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia but no casualties have been reported so far.
Residents reported of a huge blast on Saturday those spoke the media.
The convoy those targeted was traveling in Qoryeley District and they were heading to Barawe town in lower shabelle region.
AMISOM is yet to comment on the bomb attack, which was the latest in series of IED explosions targeting Somali and AU forces in the street between Mogadishu and region in Somalia.
Al-Shabaab has lost key urban strongholds in south and central Somalia, including Mogadishu to SNA and AMISOM since 2011, however, the Militant group still capable of launching sporadic raids in the country.
