Last week, government forces in Somalia’s northern Puntland state commenced a military offensive to retake the coastal town of Qandala, against Somalia ISIS militants those last days controlling Qandala town.
Troops from Somalia’s semi-autonomous Puntland region with Heavy weapons and battle vehicles retake control of Qandla which locates northeasternof Bari region after heavy fighting.
According to eyewitness spoke on Radio Simba in Mogadishu confirmed that puntland military entered on today’s noon Qandla town and encountered with battle.
Casualties behind the attack still unmentioned.
Yusuf Mohamed governor of Puntland’s Bari region who spoke the media told that the government forces’ plan was “to liberate the town Qandla to ISIS and to help the people return to their homes”.
