Two explosions followed by gunfire hit a restaurant at Mogadishu’s Lido beach, witnesses told Al Jazeera.
The beach area is usually home to restaurants, which are full on Thursday nights – the start of the weekend in Somalia.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
